Electric vehicle manufacturer Tesla has once again demonstrated its commitment to engineering the safest cars on our roads. After rigorous testing, the National Highway Traffic Safety Administration (NHTSA) has awarded the 2017 Tesla Model X a 5-star safety rating in every category and sub-category — the first clean sweep by any SUV, electric or not. Owners of Teslas Equipped With Autopilot Are Eligible for a Discount From Root Car Insurance [Updated]

Root car insurance, a venture-backed startup based in Ohio, offer customers usage-based insurance (UBI), also known as pay how you drive (PHYD). Drawing on today’s hyper-connected environment, Root logs data from an app installed on a potential customer’s smartphone to monitor their driving behaviour and habits.
